Hi,

i would to like to create a static analysis with radioss of a model consisting of a wooden core and several plies at each sides.

It would look like this:

Neues_Bild.png

I now know how to create a solid:

import geometry from catia, create mat&property, assign cardimage psolid/pshell

now for the laminate:

laminates seem to be always centered around a surface, is there a way to make them only go into one direction?

can i use the same geometry for the core and the laminate?

if they are in different components, i have to chosse Pcompp as the card image for the laminate geometry property, do i have to combine these two? (the one containing the geometry with the solid, and the one with the laminate geometry)

whats the best way to build a ortotrophic woven composite?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

It's a better way to create 2 composite sheets, upper and lower, each has 2 plies

in this case core should be hexa/penta mesh
