Delamination Visulization

Hello ppl!

I am running an impact simulation on composites and i am using RADIOSS Block 120 for it.

I modelled my target composite plate using material law 25 (Tsai Wu) which calculates delamination. Also, during the solver run, i get messages like this:

- DELAMINATION OF SHELL ELEMENT : 879 AT TIME : 1.136

Does anyone know how to visualize delamination in Hyperview? Do i have to set anything up in RADIOSS to have that option available?

Hello,

 

i think the only possibility to visualize delamination is to define a derived result, where you define the damage of the shells in terms of the formula in radioss help.

Delamination of Tsai Wu though is a global model and does not describe the delamination of the single layers but says that delamination would occur if a critical shear value in the element is exceeded.
