Leaf spring

Hi ,

I am a new user ot Motion View . I have to make a leaf spring solid axle half car model for Kimenatic & Compliance Analysis .

There was no Leaf Spring template in the Assembly Wizard .

Could you please let me know how to tackle this problem ?

There is a basic template to make a leaf spring. But soon you will notice that is much faster to build your own macro for that. In my case I need to make my own script because I needed a parbolic leafspring in which the thickness is variable. Also I was able to make leafspring in weird configurations.

I used templex, the fastest way is to define points as coordinates in a local system, and assemble it in an array then you need to multiply the array by a rotation matrix. I started with a plane leaf. Once you have it plane you need tu put some force and extract the configuration in the cuved state. The next step is to rewrite the points in the array using this new config.
