element thickness

hello,

   I am using Altair 14.0 student version, i want contour plot for element thickness result (i am doing topology optimization).

but it shows only element density contour in result type. how can i get element thickness contour plot.

    Dear Prakash,

                         Can't it be done with topology optimization, I have seen example of topology optimization 11.0 in which there is option to view 

               element thickness in hyperview. 

                i am mentioning the example

    Nikhil,

     

    I think for that you need to add a base thickness when using shell property. Did you add any such thickness?

    yes I have added base thickness(4 mm) and my design space =(7.5 mm-4 mm).

    Element thickness comes automatically in des.h3d when you have shell elements in topology optimization.
