Hi all,

         i need some assistance in applying hydrostatic pressure on shell part and curved door part of my project. It is a pressure vessel.. we have applied with some equations but in .f06 file of nastran the 'oload' values are being wrong.. it suppose to be 0 it seems, but they r giving wrong values.. pls help me out frm this..

    Hi,

    i think the best way is to use a pressure of type equation (e.g. Nastran/Radioss bulk -> PLOAD4).

    Since hydrostatic pressure is a function of heigth (e.g. water column), you can use 'z' (or other direction) as variable.

    Pressure = height * dens * g
