Hello,

I have Inspire version 9.5, build 3388 running on Windows 7 (64 bit) and when I try to open or import an Inspire file i get the error 'hwx.exe

has stopped working' and the program closes completely. With some older files I dont get the error and I can open them with no problems..

Do I have to update or something? I have attached the error.

Thank you

    Hello Sofia,

Seems like this particular file may have corrupted somehow, but regardless Inspire shouldn't be crashing. Did you run this particular file before in different version or importing new CAD file in Inspire? You can open previously completed run from Optimization>Run History (small calendar icon next to Optimization icon).

Email me anytime if you need more details.

BTW, any reason you are using Inspire 9.5? Inspire 2014 is current version with Inspire 2015 will be out very soon.

    regards,

    Hello Jaideep,

thank you a lot for your answer, I tried to open the file from the Opptimisation Run History and it worked.

But the original file still makes Inspire crash. I have no problem opening CAD files imported from other programs (usually I import step files), it only crashes after saving the modified file in .stmod file (Inspire Model) which is strange. Of course it might be corrupted but it hasnt  happened with just one file but also with others. I created the file again from the begining and I had the same problem.. Opening the file from the opt.history is at least one solution but only temporary. Any idea? image/emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>

    Thanx again,

    Sofia

    Hello Sofia,

Could you please try changing Run History path to some other location than default? You can find it under Edit>Preferences>Optimization.

Secondly it may be easier find a solution over a web-meeting, I will send you message.

    Regards,
