pin joint creation

i have created a pin joint with a following steps

> i created one rigid (rbe2) on either side.

> connected independent nodes with 1D beam with pin a =4 and pin b= 0

is that a right way to do it?

and on my main strut lugs..i want to allow the rotation along its axis.. i have done this as in this model attached..

whether what i have done is right or wrong?

Just checked your hm file.Looks like this is not the right way to connect two parts.Will share some relevant information shortly.

RBE2 should be connected to all dependent nodes & with independent node you can connect bar element.See attached video.

that i can do sir.. connecting independent node to all dependent nodes.. but how to specify degree of freedom on lugs of main strut?

sir since i want to have a pin joint..in 1d bar element i want to allow the rotation right i.e dof 5 in my problem?

In v14.0.210 we have a new element RJOINT which can be used to model HINGE/UNIVERSAL/SPHERICAL .

thats nice sir..but i am doing it in v11.. for the procedure u shown if i give pin a=4 while creating 1d bar will it behave like a pin joint?
