3D Tetra Remesh

Hi,

 

I wonder if there is a theory guide in Hypermesh support documents? I would like to mention the 3D tetra remesh function of Hypermesh in my write-up and it would be great if there is a support document that I can refer to.

 

My understanding to its working principle so far is:

1. Recognises free surfaces and generates surface shell mesh from the original solid mesh

2. Reposition, remove or add nodes on the surface shell mesh to optimise the mesh quality

3. Generate internal nodes and thus elements basing on the optimised surface shell mesh

 

Please let me know if this is correct.

    I think there is no more information on how the function works internally than what is given in the help documentation,
