Force unit?
Hello,
I'm still new for this software and i want to ask why there is no force unit in my software? i want to set load force in N unit. I only found setting for mass, length and time unit as picture below. I hope anyone can help me. Thank you./emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

Hi,
The units are based on the unit consistency followed by the user in the model. And user cannot set those units in control cards.
For Tonnes, mm and second unit consistency force will be in Newtons. For g,mm, ms also (which is your case) the force will be in Newtons. Please follow this unit consistency and based on it you will get the output.
The unit consistency followed is showed in the below image.

okay thank you Mr George for your prompt reply/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
Next question is how can i set x axis for time and y axis for load variable? Is the unit is based on my consistency unit? what is the function of this graph in simulation?
thank you.

Hi,
The input for these functions are also based on the unit consistency the user following.
Which load type are you using for this curve?. For concentrated load (/CLOAD in RADIOSS), the curve defined is Time vs Force, where X axis is Time and for Y it's Force.
Similarly for pressure load (/PLOAD), the function defined is Time vs Pressure, where X axis is Time and for Y it's Pressure.
For imposed displacement (/IMPDISP), the function defined is Time vs Displacement, where X axis is Time and for Y it's Displacement.
Whatever values the user enter in the function for X will be Time and based on the loading condition Y values are entered.
Based on these functions the load will be ramped on the model.
