Inertia matrix

Hello,

 

I have a 3d mesh with material and properties assigned. I want to calculate the moment of inertia of the body formed by this mesh with respect to a point.

 

How can I do it?

    Hi,

     

    There are predefined templates available in HyperMesh to calculate different physical properties like CG, MOI, etc..

     

    Go to Post page>> Summary>> Browse for the solver type (say OptiStruct)>> Select the template type (Say Mom_Inertia)>> click Load.
