question about HS-3000: Fit Method Comparison: Approximation on the Arm Model
in this tutorial, when to set up a fit approach,it require two matrix, one for input, and another for validation, why do this?
and
when to select the fit mode, the help only says to set the appropriate method, I do not understand this point. whether need I to select the fit method for each above matrix separately? at this point, I think it could not be like that, because the two matrix is in one fit process except we build two fit approachs.
for this step, I am frustrated.
wish to get some help, thanks in advance!

In HyperStudy terminology, input and validation matrices correspond to training and testing data. A validation matrix is not obligatory but it is suggested as the fit diagnostics on input matrix is not as reliable. In cases where methods such as HyperKriging and RBF are used; it is very much needed. More information can be found in HyperStudy > How to Use HyperStudy > Study Contents > Approaches > Approach Steps: Select Matrices (Fit)
As for your second question; I am afraid I am not clear about it. I read specific instructions in the tutorial for the fit method Can you give more details?
