what is the purpose of 'shrink elements' in HM ?

    it's useful when your model has connectivity problems or strange elements which normally cannot be seen

    the purpose is only for proper visibility... for an example... nodes usually will be on the edge  of the surface.. for toggling a particular edge among bunch of edges it is apt to shrink elements so that u can spot the edge and see the corresponding remeshing hasppening upon toggling or splitting  (whn remesh is set in Options)
