Meshing alone certain Points

Hello,

I have got a question concerning HyperMesh. Currently I am working with a modell which needs to be meshed. However due to come measuring points I need to have the nodes at some certain points along a line. How can I make the solid 3D mesh in HyperMesh in such a way, that the nodes of the volume elements are on a special line?

Thanks in advance,

Flopper

    Hi,

whats about fixed points (quick edit or point edit)?

If you need exact coordinates, then you can use Geometry->nodes->extract on line... generate nodes parametric on line (from 0...1). Afterwards you have to create the fixed points in Geometry->point edit->on surfs->pick nodes.

Yap, thats what I already do, however afterwards I dont get the nodes of the mesh on that same position as the previous points where located. I am currently using the command Mesh --> create --> solid map mesh and there I go.

As far as I can see, the mesh is not fixed on the locations where the previous points where created.

The simple way is to cut your surface through these points.

    Hello,

you can mesh the surfaces of the solid with (triangle) shell elements. This has taken into account the fixed points, otherwise something is going wrong.

At a second step you can tetmesh this shell elements...

    Hi,

he says ”points” but it means ”position” perhaps.

In panel solid map/general you activate ”along” and select nodes at the positions, your mesh will be mapped to these pos. When i mesh, i often use ”along elems” than ”along nodes” because can control mesh better, anyway if your mesh is simple, a long nodes is enough
