Averaging methods for Stress result

When do we need to use None and Simple average methods for Von Mises stress ? 

What is the corner data option in contour panel, what is the use of it.

For which stress types the corner data option can be used?

When I applied the contour with simple average and then with corner data,I found difference in stress results in the same location

So, I wold like to know in more elaborated manner as to when the Corner data or for that matter other stress averaging methods are used for any analysis?

Hi Prudvi 

None: No averaging method is used. Color will be displayed in element-based results, a solid color for centroid results, or multiple color bands within an element.

Simple: Simple averaging means that tensor and vector components are extracted and the invariant are computed prior to averaging.

corner data is  for element  order

Using Corner Data option  it calculates result by taking  all the corner and mid-side node result
