Export STL mesh in Hyperworks

I am using the HyperWorks 13.0 Student edition and I created a mesh on a geometry. I would like to export the mesh as a STL file. Under Export Solver Deck I only get options for OptiStruct, RADIOSS and CFD. There is no option for STL. How can I export the mesh as a STL? Or is it not possible with the Student Edition?

    Hi,

Student edition has a limitation on export formats.

As a workaround you can use sT Inspire.

Import the geometry into Inspire and you can export that to .stl file.

What is the use case BTW?

I am not sure what sT Inspire is? Is it a software? I googled it but I am not getting any software. The use is for a CFD simulation

sT Inpsire is a optimization and analysis software.

You can download it from Altair Store. Login to your Altair Store account to download the package.

    Hi,

This is not possible in Student Edition.

However, in full version, it is possible by doing the following:

Tool => faces => select your solid elements to create faces.

Then Export => Solver Desk => STL as File type => You got your STL file.
