Hello, I'm using HyperWorks 13.0 Student Edition and suddenly a hm file started to take minutes to open or to edit anything (specially surfaces). When I try to mesh something the program enter the mode 'Not responding'. What is that? What should I do? I've already tried to save as another file, to import then save, to restart my computer, to clean my temporary files, etc... But i think that the model has some problem.

Thank you.

Did you try open other hm files? If hm processes them ordinary, then it could be due to the hm file, example: to many surfaces

enter panel tools>count and count number of surfs

    Tell us about:

    • Your hardware (cpu, ram, hdd, graphique card,...)
    • Your HM model: size, complexity,...

    Hello,

I've counted the surfaces: 1770. Is that too many?

I'm really new to the software and for now I'm using an notebook Acer 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, onboard card. I know that this is not the ideal PC to run this type of software, but it was running ok, then suddenly it started to bug.

    Thank you all.

'onboard card' is main reason I think

With this kind of software using OpenGL to draw 3d, you should use appropriate graphic card

Yes, you should have a good and supported graphic card.

I use Quadro 2000M with 2048 Mo DDR3 on my working laptop.
