A minimum bounding box is a rectangle that encloses a geometry has the smallest area of all enclosing rectangles.
Please, how can I obtain the minimum area bounding box for a 2D geometry in hypermesh. I need the area? Thank you.
you can get area of selected surface, elements or solid. For given 2d geometry you can draw lines to construct a rectangle.

Thank you so much for the reply. That will not solve my problem. I will not be able to accurately construct a minimum bounding box by myself. There is an Algorithm which can do that in Matlab. Please, how can I obtain the coordinates which describe a model in hypermesh. If I get that coordinates, I can use it to draw the model in Matlab and calculate the minimum area bounding box in Matlab. Thank you.
This is very important request. Many OEM need this function but Altair have not developed.
Did you try hm_getboundingbox?
Brutal forced method utilize hm_getboundingbox:

We have Bounding Box utility tool under AcuSolve profile, refer below screen shot.
The Bounding Box Tool looks convenient.
But I can't find it in Acusolve profile?
Such interesting information. Great blog. Did you hear something about UX Design Agency ?

But I can't find it in Acusolve
It is in a tab named 'Utility'

My colleagues from a design company helped find your blog. Very interesting and informative. Thank you very much for your fresh thoughts.
