Hypermesh export to acusolve

Hello everybody,

I am trying to simulate a globe valve using HyperWorks.

Solid Geometry is created, deleted solid with boundary surfaces intact. 11 surfaces created, all edges are green(all edges are shared). It is now in the component-wall.

I have created two components- inflow and outflow. Organised inlet and outlet surfaces into inflow and outflow (by moving).

Now, I have used 2D automesh to mesh all surfaces, checked 2d elements for connectivity and duplicates --> NO ISSUES.

Now, I have used CFD tetermesh. Checked 2d elements for CFD tetramesh --> NO ISSUES.

by selecting with boundary elements as wall and without boundary layer elements as inflow, outflow , 3d mesh was created. Checked 3d elements --> NO ISSUES.

Now, by selecting inflow, outflow and wall ( surfaces and mesh) and 3d elements (mesh), i tried to export solver deck to acusolve. Here the

error appears saying: no 3d elements found in the neighbour hood of tria elements.

Added to that errors, two components are formed: extrenal tria and quad elements which mostly are over the wall component.

Please let me know what is causing the above errors.

Thanks in advance.

It might be an issue where the 2D elements and 3D elements are not conform.

Probably you used 'float' option while generating the CFD Tetramesh. Did you select 'update input shells' ?

Check the doc for 3D meshing options and the post with same issue.

Thank you for your kind reply ....

I tried all combinations ..  with BL and w/o BL in fixed and float ( total 4 combinations).

I tried with ' update input shells'  (with and without checking).

I still found found same errors as before.

Please suggest me some solutions... as i am struggling with this for past 2 weeks.

    Thanks in advance.

While i export to acusolve ... then the above problems arises.

while i export to fluent.... then no problem arises and it is imported without any problems in fluent software.

I used 2D element as quads. Why the above mentioned problem arises only when i export to acusolve. Please clarify.

    Thanks in advance.
