    Hi,

Every one use diffrent tool and strategy in which they are comfortable for meshing.

First of you need to import the geomety.

-Go to file-import-geometry(there is icon also for importing)

-in file type select parasolid-select file-import(make sure scaling factor is 1 if you don't want model to be scaled)

Now, lets it be a stool...

Divide the model in four symmetric part. Mesh the quater part of the stool which can easily be done using drag or solid mapping command. Now duplicate the meshed part and reflect it to form whole stool( you need to reflect twice, first quater and then half of the meshed model). Now you just need to do equivalance.
