Hello,

I have been searching the solution of this problem for so long and haven't found the answer, and the problem are as follow:

*aircraft wing rib assembly in certain angle or follow a bar(also in angle)

1) is there any way i can assemble or copy the ''meshed'' aircraft rib aline with a angle bar plus spacing between them.? Since going through 1xx ribs and mesh them one by one  is very time consuming.

2) I plan to mesh the Bar in Hyperbeam and the Ribs in mid surface shell mesh, the bar and ribs are assemble through holes so just wonder what are the best way to connect these compound together and do a static analysis?

These photo shows the angle of the assembly and the bar going through the ribs.

Many Thanks !

    HI yatyeunglam

    1) Please refer to the attached video to translate or project elements from one surface to the other.

    2) Yes, you can mesh bars with bar elements or beam elements using HyperBeam and ribs with shell elements.

    2) also, I discover that I have missing hole (top left of the photo) when I created a mid surface, wonder if u can help me pls.

    3) how to create 1D bar through my geometry line and connect them to holes?

sorry for many question, im very new to hypermesh

    1) You can assemble parts using beam elements (like bolting).

    2) Usually holes will be a part of mid-surface, if you have missed one or two you can recreate on the mid-surface

    3) I am atatching a script which will extract lines from tube geometry. Once you have lines you can mesh the line with 1D elements.

    How to use the scirpt:

    1) First rename the file to Centerline_tube.tcl

    2) in HyperMesh, From FIle>> Run>> tcl script and select the tcl file

    3) select the geometry and it should extract the line.

    Hi,

can you select one tube at a time and check if that helps?
