How to build a coordinate system according to a given direction angle?

Hi all,

I have some problems when dealing with coordinate system in hypermesh.

1. How to copy a coordinate system to many nodes without direction change?

2. How to build a new coordinate system at a node with given angle to global system?

3. Besides selecting three nodes to build a system, is there any other method to create a system with given directions?

Thank you

Roy

    Hi Roy,

I don't think its possible to copy a coordinate system. The possible workaround is by creating local system by axis direction method where user can select a number of nodes and the local system will be created in every nodes selected whereas this is not possible for node reference method.

Create node in the required angle and while local system is created select this as second node so that a local system in an angle can be created.

Local system can be created only by selecting the three nodes which defines the axis/direction.

    Hi George P,

It is not convenient to copy a coordinate system like 3D model software UG.

As you said, it seems that a node in the required angle should be built before defining a local system.

    Best Wishes
