I am doing simulation for crack propagation using VCCT. I am doing it for adhesively joined composite plate.
I want to introduce initial crack for further analysis. How can I introduce initial crack ?

I am using Nastran as a solver. I found the way of creating initial crack.
But, now the problem is reacting force at the crack tip. Do you have any idea how can i find the reacting force at the crack tip. ?
I tried to find the reacting force by applying the RBE as a MPC. But is it right way to find the reacting force at the node of the crack tip ?
