The coupling program V2.3.1 given an example of Ganser drag model for the EDEM and FLUENT coupling, but the code is not consider the volume fraction, when the C_VOF(c,ct) Macro was used to acquire the Volume fraction, the Fluent report the unallocated memory error. so, anyone can tell me how to fix it? Also the C_MU_L() Macro also can not work.

    Hi,

It's been a while since I used the Ganser model, but from memory it only works with the DDPM enabled. The volume fraction doesn't get populated if you are simply using the DPM.

    Are you using the DDPM?

    Cheers,

    Richard

Wow, thank you very much for your answer. I did use the DDPM model for the calculation.

Could you please tell me if you are running the coupling calculation with the Ganser udf model that comes with the official interface? and which version is it? Because when I was using EDEM-FLUENT coupling, I found that all Fluent built-in drag models can be calculated, but when I switch to udf_drag ganser model, the program will return an error message directly (show below) and not even make a first calculation. That's why I want to rebuilt this UDF, but I found that I can't extract some important information either.

How to make it works is the main concern now hhhh. Thank you!
