For the simulation, I would like to see the strain rate of each element.

Just like we can see plastic strain, Von Misses stress, etc I want to see the strain rate for each element.

Is there a way to see that in HyperView? I am using RADIOSS, so let me know if I can do some settings for this?

    Hi,

Check TH/SHELL>> EPSD. This outputs Equivalent strain rate t T01 file.

    Or

Write an equation in HV change in strain/change in time (Eps(t)-Eps(t-1)/(t-(t-1)

TH/SHELL is valid for 4 node shell elements. My model is tetra elements. How do I get strain rate for these?

I did not understand what is HV? Where do I give this equation. Please give some example or screenshot. I have no idea what to do...

    Try TH/BRIC>> PLSR.

It doesn't work. HyperView shows the output block option, but the graph is 0 constant. I am using 3D tetra elements with LAW2. Please suggest how do I get strain rate for this?

The only option left for solid elements to output is TH/BRIC/PLSR as far as I know.

Another way is to output strain to H3D and write an equation for strain rate.

BRIC/PLSR gives a constant 0 curve as I said previously.

So how do I write the equation? Please show some example if possible.

    Hi Bongris,

use Expression builder to write the equation in HV

I don't know what is this expression builder. Can you give some reference or screenshot or something about it?
