1D rod stress analysis

I have create rod using 1D rod element and make it fully constrained on one side while other side having load applied on it. I run it on optisrtuct and open in hyper-view . This gives extremely small value of displacement and also shows stress zero. Anybody can tell why this is happening?

Hi Rupali,

Maybe applied force is less to displace the rod element. Try to increase the force and check if that increases the displacement.

I have tried it by applying large amount of force but it doesn't work.

Actually this problem is occurred to all 1d and 2d parts that I have done previously. This problem is occurring since I have reinstalled hypermesh. Any suggestion on this?

Hello sir ,

I have do that analysis again and it gives the correct results. Actually I have chosen wrong stress type ; that's why results are not getting properly.
