When a solid needs to be tetrameshed, when is it recommended to use tria for 2D Type  or QUAD for 2D Type?

Is it advisable to use TRIA or QUAD for the 2D Type ?

    Hello

I do not much understand your doubt

when you have to mesh a solid with tetra, do not care about tria or quad because finally closure has to be trias

advice for 2d mesh is: do not use tria if possible, it is very ugly image/emoticons/default_biggrin.png' alt=':D' srcset='/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>

When you fill a closed QUAD mesh (like fixed mesh) with TET, Hypermesh with create a layer of PYRAMID before fill up the rest of your volume by TET elements. Use this method only if you need to connect your TET mesh to HEX mesh.
