Errors in visualization

Hi everyone,

I want to model a 'simple' Flange Contact as Displayed in the attached picture. I apply a Surface Force of 500 Newton to that round surface on top in the picture. The diameter of that surface is 40mm.

After simulation I can't display any proper results in Hyperview even though it outputs 'anaylsis complete' and no errors at all.

I need to read out GPSTRSS to export it to Paraview and to some Stream tracing with it, but I can't get anything out of Hyperview.

The second picture is what hyperview shows when loading the h3d-File from hypermesh (using optistruct).

Any ideas? Am I doing something stupidly wrong? :D/emoticons/default_biggrin.png' srcset='/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x' title=':D' width='20' />

Thanks a lot on advance!

Asaad

Are you trying to plot contact forces? If so please check if you have CONTF = ALL output request in the deck.

    Hi Rahul R,

thanks for your answer! You are right, I haven't checked that. I now did (see attached file), what you said but still I don't get proper results.

Looks like the second attached picture...

Hmm I only get to chosse between Grid Point Stresses and Element Stresses. I checked if yomething went wrong when saving the model, but still is set to CONTF,Type=ALL...

Anything else I could have done wrong?I Attached pictures of the Contact surfaces in bolt and nut. maybe that helps?!...

    Ohhkaaayy!!! I made progress ;D

I am now haveing the full model within hyperview! And I can make a contour plot from my grid point stresses!

Somehow th set and group definitions where gone after saving the model... I guess that this was some problem with my computer... but I have no idea tbh^^
