Programming in Inspire 2017

Greetings,

I'm thinking about optimizing a 3D-truss structure by Inspire 2017 7305.
And I would like to know whether it is possible to program the property of materials.
I'd like to design a part of the structure as a tension wire. So, I'd like to define its compression stiffness as zero, and its tension stiffness as non-zero.

If it is not possible, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me how to do that (though it may be beyond the scope of this website).

    Hi grasshopper,

neither programming within Inspire or anisotropic materials are supported. Maybe there is a way to model your wire with the features we have already.

Feel free to share ideas and pictures (if possible).

    Regards,

    Felix

    Hi Felix,

Unfortunately, it is still a concept, so I haven't made any models...
First thing I have to do is to accurately model 3D truss structures in Inspire.
    But thanks anyway.

    Best regards,

By the way, if I use Optistruct or Hyperworks, is it possible to program the material properties or other properties?
I'm also planning to program mesh type (I would like to set as beam elements rather than solid elements)
