Hi , I have been doing a structural analysis where i had to mesh more than 35 components in hyper mesh. However i am yet to define contacts in abaqus for which i have to take this assembly in to abaqus but i am not able to import the inp file in to abaqus as an orphanmesh. Everything is coming as one part. But if i try to import each part as a different model i am able to get separate separate models by which i am able to copy all instances as one assembly (this is what i wanted) but when i do this i am not able to define material properties since all i have is instances but no parts, Please someone help me out with this problem

We strictly recommend users to use latest version of Hyperworks. Latest version is Hyperworks desktop 2017 then version 14.If you have license only for version 13 then try HW desktop 13.110 patch which has some enhancement for Abaqus export/import.

You can also define contact in Hypermesh Abaqus user profile. If possible share .inp file to cross check same on all HW desktop version.
