Please tell me which is good for meshing, absolute or relative?

    Interesting question...! :)/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

When you’re fully aware of the size of model, just go for absolute. Absolute mesh size has a unit length which can be modified also. But in actual practice, you may have to do couple of iterations for meshing to the benchmark level (set by organization).

In relative meshing which is found out by a factor (a number ranging from 0 to 1) multiplied with the largest edge length of the bounding box for each geometric face in the surface group, different mesh size maybe used for faces of the model.

Will you please give an example of relative mesh size?

    Absolutely...!

The mesh on the surface 'one' is prescribed by relative mesh size. Relative mesh size of  0.125 is used in here. Assuming the largest length in the model to be one meter, this is multiplied by 0.125  (the no. mentioned earlier) to generate a surface mesh where the largest element is 0.125 (1*0.125 = 0.125). The resulting mesh may look like this-
