Going to materials in the physics tab i only see the option new b(h) curve. I want to add a new material but the option isn't there. Did i do something wrong in the simulation or maybe have a setting wrong?

This occurs because you did not define an application before to create your material.
You need first to create an application (in the tab 'application') corresponding to what you want to model (transient magnetic, electric conduction, steady state thermal...). Once you defined the application, you can create a material and define properties on this material.
