What is the difference b/w local coordinate system and global coordinate system
Hi Shreeharsha,

As the name indicates Global coordinate system describes the entire environment of the model. The one which you see at the left bottom corner of HyperMesh is a global coordinate system.
Local coordinate systems are valid locally to a component or to the entire model. These will be useful for instance to apply load in any desired direction. This is user defined system who's origin may or may not be same as Global coordinate system
