Spot Weld Ratio?

Hi,

I'm desperately trying to calculate a modell with spot weld but every time, i get the following error-msg:

Ratio of weld diameter to average shell/patch size (D/L= 29.3) is larger than
the limit value of 10.0.
CWELD element id = 123

Well, the diameter of the spot weld is 3mm and the size of the attached elements is 0.4mm. The length of the weld-element is 1.2mm. So, everything is below the allowable limitation, therefor, i have no idea how to solve this. Thank you in advance for your answer(s).

Hi Musti,

Please check quality if there are some elements with small size (up to 0.1mm perhaps)

Hey tinh,

tnx for your reply, do you mean elements in the whole assembly or in the component where the spot weld is? Because i have like 10 components which are meshed together.
