HI FEKO Expert,

 

I would like to ask FEKO team about the warning that I received when I running the near field request. I am doing dipole antenna using wire port. What does the warning means so that I can make

inprovement on my model to achieve the results. I have attached the warning image with this email. Hope to hear from you soon to help me encounter this problem.

Warning 81: singular field on the axis of a segment

Warning 2340: No further output of warnings and hints

This warning is similar to:

 

When you request the near fields, one or more of the points are on the axis of the segment. Since the segment has current flowing on it, you are sampling on the source and the field is singular.

 

You can resolve the problem by simply not sampling on the segments (Z-axis in your example), but rather sample some distance away from the segment axes. Don't sample too close to the segment if you want very accurate results, since the field will be near singular close to the segment.

 

Warning 2340 will go away once you have modified the model to avoid Warning 81.
