Brick Mesh
Hi!
I try to achieve this mesh:
and my current mesh looks like this:
What method allows me to do so? Is it for example possible to create a circle, mesh this one and morph it to the shape and the outline of my surface?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Best, J

Try method 'Solid map' if you want hex meshing.

Thanks for the answer! The problem is the following. I want to have a solid cylinder in the center. This is easy done by creating and meshing a circle and projecting it on the upper and lower surface and 'solid map>linear solid'-meshing it. However, I'm not able to create the remaining surface of the upper and lower plate with the same amount of elements so that I can use again solid map>linear solid to create the brick mesh (see image: ). This is where I stuck.

You can also try with linear solid option where prerequisite is to have matching mesh on the top and bottom surface. If possible share.HM file.

Yes, I'd know how to do that. But I don't know how I can achieve this matching mesh since my surfaces aren't equally shaped. File is attached.

Is this not possible?

You must have matching mesh on both face to use linear solid.Morphing technique should work but you should have proper geometry for same.

Thanks Rahul! Could you please elaborate this a little more? The upper and lower surface are given by the shape of the vertebra (I can not control this). How can I achieve the same mesh?

No automatic way to do that; IMHO.
Make upper mesh. Project to lower surface and then make some manual corrections in order to fit mesh => equivalent nodes.
