Incompresibility with tetrahedral elements?

Hello,

Could you please tell me for Radioss solver if I can use tetrahedral elements (4 or 10 nodes) to simulate behavior of incompressible materials, such as hyperelastic models for rubbers? I saw in Radioss Theory, the assumed strain technique is incorporated in hexahedral elements but not sure is there a similar thing for tetrahedral elements?

Thank you,

Huynh

    Hi,

Set the Icpre field to 1 to have pressure DOF's at the center of Tet elements. This formulates the incompressible behavior perfectly. There is no need of assumed strain formulation when using second order TET elements.
