Hello all,

I have a .stl file of a cylinder. The quality of mesh are quite bad in some corners. Does anyone has any ideas to automatically remove/ edit these low quality mesh (In figure attached, shown with red circle around)?

I have just used automesh--> optimize, selected the low quality mesh, and increased the feature and vertex angles. However, Hypermesh can not do the automeshing and send me back error.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks

Maryam

    Hi Maryam,

Looks like your mesh size is quite big.To capture entire geometry use appropriate mesh size.

In above highlighted problematic region you can locally select elements using mask (F5)command.Then 3d :tetramesh remesh .

I hope by remeshing you would able to achieve good mesh quality.

Also If requirement is to create only tetrahedral element then you could try Altair Simlab for meshing.
