    HI,

For a bus structure shell elements are normally used. If you are new to meshing, please go through the online Help where many tutorials are available on meshing.

Also you can go through https://altairuniversity.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/2Dmeshing.pdf which covers in detail on 2D meshing.

Now, I have create the midsurface, and finish the 2D mesh like picture 1. But how can I do to make the mesh like picture 2? Is it use the 'drag'?

    Hi,

For the shell elements you have created now, assign the thickness and visualize the same in 2D element detailed representation so that you can see the elements assigned with thickness.

I doubt whether the second pic is of hexa mesh.
