FEKO simulation

Hi @mkh
Good question.
There are different ways to model metals in FEKO.
Firstly, when you create a new part, the default material properties are set to PEC. For most antenna applications this is an accurate approximation. However, you can certainly model different non-perfect metal types in FEKO. And when you set a face property to e.g. copper, you will be required to enter the thickness of the metal .
I hope this helps.

Thank you, Sir. for help. but I am I wondering why the response of reflection coefficient is different if we change the type of feeding in FEKO. For example in the examples guide of FEKO the example [A8] change the feeding type for the same variable design of microstrip antenna we noticed that the far-field radiation is approximately similar but the reflection coefficient is different as shown in attached photo.

It is likely that changing the ground plane to infinite (red curve) can change the reflection coefficient.
The difference between the blue and green curves is approximately a 1% frequency shift, which is very small. Have you done a mesh convergence study for each of the methods? I would suggest to do this first, but it is also possible that the small frequency shift is related to the differences in the numerics for the 2 methods.

I will do the mesh convergence study, but I wonder which method for solving will be the closest one to the measurement values.
