Surface Issue

Without preparing works, you can't make good mesh for this.
You can:
- Simplify current surfaces by cutting, disabling edges,....
- Build approximate surfaces from current ones.
IMHO, a lot of works shoud do there to have some good mesh.
I can show you some thing about this if you can send me your model.

Hello,
I have a surface (see attached) that is causing me to have mesh that is a bit messy. Is there any way to refine this in either the surface generation or mesh modules?
Thank you,
with your quite small mesh size. i think you can toggle green lines all (shift+F11>toggle edge) then mesh the surf once

Hi,
Try to use 'Geom->edge edit->supress', select all lines and press suppress. Play around with the breakangle parameter.
Best Regards,
Mario

Have you tried shrinkwrap, Shrink wrap meshing is a method to create a simplified mesh of a complex model when high-precision models are not necessary, as is the case for powertrain components during crash analysis. The model's size, mass, and general shape remains, but the surface features and details are simplified, which can result in faster analysis computation. You can determine the level of detail retained by determining the mesh size to use, among other options.
