    that wasn't very clear, i want to project the seeds from on edge to the facing edge in a 2D geometry

    Use Project option.Project nodes to line.(Shift+F7  is the shortcut key)

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>Project node to line.JPG

    i have already tried that but i wasn't able to make it work, i need a tool that will allow me to have the same y-coordinate for seeds on opposing edges in a 2D geometry

    Could you share screenshot of your requirement?

    i want the quasi vertical lines in the meshing to be fully vertical

    simply change angle of mesh and remesh the same

    Assume vertical is x axis. In panel project to line, select 'along vector' as x axis

    after projecting, used panel 2d>ruled between 2 node list with option 'mesh w/o surf' will create vertical mesh line
