Hope you are well,

I'm having difficulties simulating a car pedal with its shock absorber, could someone tell me how to set the restrictions so that the pedal goes down to a certain height? What properties do I have to use for the damping component?

in a non-linear analysis you could accomplish this by:

    - using a 1D spring element and assigning a NL force x displacement curve to it, by using the KN line in the PBUSH property. In your curve, there would be a stopper, defined by a high slope in your stiffness curve, after some point.

    - using shells and solids, and add a contact as a stopper.
