Glue, Cgap, RBE2 elements type

Hi,

I wanted to know if I can replace glue contact with a RB2 (node to node), CGAP (node to node ) or simply by doing a node equivalence between two surfaces.

 

Would it make a difference???

Hi Ashwani,

Node to node equivalency will ensure the proper connectivity between components. Whereas in contacts, it will check for potential penetration of a slave node through a master segment.

Please refer the Nastran documentation for these contact types.
