Invalid License after update to Altair Desktop 2021

Hi,

I've recently updated my Altair Desktop from ver 2020.1 to 2021. Before the update I was using my full license however, after the update upon opening Altair Hyperworks, I needed to perform a License Setup. I entered my username and password but displayed an Invalid License in the messages box. Do I need to perform a license reset or any other method to overcome this problem?

    Hi Naim,

    What type of licensing environment are you using? Is the license local to your workstation, or is the license hosted from a server, or are you using Altair One licenses which are hosted by Altair?

    1) If you using a local license, stored in your Altair/security folder, you may to get an updated license - to version 2021. Open the altair_lic.dat file to view the version.

    2) If you were you using the license manager - "ALMUtil" - program to access again you may need to update the license on the server and restart the server.

    3) For Altair One hosted licenses you may need to contact hwsupport@altair.com to request additional licensing support.
