PFSI simulations using beam elements

Hi all,

I'm trying to perform a PFSI analysis using 1D beam elements. I'm able to import the *.op2 containing the modal analysis solution through the Eigenmode Manager in acuConsole. This last step actually populates the number of modes and their respective eigenvalues. But when I try to transfer the simple BC to the respective flexible body, I get a 'TypeError: len() of unsized object' error. If I continue to write the *.inp file the nodal information for x,y and z are missing on the simple boundary condition.

My question is the following, can the PFSI be performed with beam elements or as to be either shell/solid elements? If so, how can I fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

The pre-built mapping/transfer tools are only available for shell and/or solid elements.  You may try contacting your local Altair support team to see if there are scripts that might work with beams.
