Hypermesh - Changing model, remeshing, contacts and connections, best practices ?

I am using hypermesh (with Abaqus solver) I have inp files of a previous revision. The details of geometry change, requires remesh entire part. Is there an efficient way to reconnect the contacts/ connections without redoing all of them? I thought that perhaps I could remesh the part , and create the mesh inp file, and…
