student edition 13.0 error 9

hello

 

i installed and worked a bit earlier this week and suddenlly the software won't work.

it shows this when i start up:

'Altair License Manager: License error

 

Feature: GlobalZoneEU

Error Code: 9

Error Description:

[LOCAL] C:/Program Files/Altair/13.0-edu/security/altair_lic.dat - (Err: 9) Feature not found

 

Feature: HyperMesh

Error Code: 9

Error Description:

[LOCAL] C:/Program Files/Altair/13.0-edu/security/altair_lic.dat - (Err: 9) Feature not found

 

License Path: C:/Program Files/Altair/13.0-edu/security/altair_lic.dat'

 

I checked the file and tried the hostid from the almutil-hostid tool, I also reinstalled the whole thing and tried to download the lic file once more.

 

 

what can i do? i need the software desperatly!

    tombashan,

     

    It looks like you have generated the license for your wifi ID and not your physical ethernet device ID, does it work with either wifi and/or the blue tooth device turned on? 

     

    or it is possible that the ethernet device has been deactivated, (you can google and follow the steps from MS support for instance on how to reactivate ethernet device)

     

    go to the command prompt (start > run > cmd) and tun ipconfig/all and paste the output of that here, also run getmac and paste the output.

    Hyperworks 17 is not opening and I have student license . The ethernet is same so please help me

    Does it mean that whenever we go into a different Wifi network Hyperworks won't start? How to generate license file for specific ethernet devide ID? I am as well having similar error:9

    i do not have ethernet port on my laptop so how would i make the software run

    Could you please help me. I have an error in hypermesh that the optistruct does not run, in Hyperworks it says 'not found' error
