Hello everyone,

I face this error for several days now and I can't find where it comes from. I’ve checked on this forum and found multiple articles related to this error, but it doesn’t work for my case.

I’ve tried to change the gapmin in type7 interaction, even try to delete it but it doesn’t work.

I’ve checked each component; everyone has a property and a material.

I’ve tried to run the Check model tool to find the error, but there is nothing.

Since the last test of my model, I’ve only added a new fence with a honeycomb material. It seems like it’s working fine if I remove the fence property (SOL_ORTH). As I’m new with FE analysis and Radioss, It’s hard to find information and the error.

Here is the .out

Thank you for your help

PS : I can't find the 'empty surface' from the warning in the .out file

i'm not specialist in RADIOSS but I know that error 760 can be multiple things.

Maybe you could try using the Model Checker in HyperMesh to check for some model errors:

Use Ctrl+F >> model checker , then RMB 'Run'.

It will check your model for most common errors.

As I told, there is no error found with this tool, not even warning (If I don't do any mistake, see attachment)

just be be sure: (i'm sorry, only one part of the window was shown)

you clicked with RMB and clicked 'Run' and yet no error or warning were found?

All components, except rigid bodies, have PART card image?

    All materials are correctly defined?

Is there any penetration in your model? (check with penetration check)

    Again, i'm not specialist in RADIOSS, so that's all I can remember as good practices. :)/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

Maybe there are some tips in the RADIOSS ebook?

also, make sure that there's no different element types in the same component.

Also if the materials used in SOL_ORT are fully compatible with it.

That's all I can think about it. Sorry not being able to assist you further.

I didn't saw the run button, so ok, I has tought there is a problem with the honeycomb 'part, mat and prop incompatbile'. I've follow a tutorial (wasn't working after) and tried to modify with other post of the forum to my case. I can't find a lot of information on of to modelise honeycomb. Maybe someone know what's wrong. I'll had fews images to illustrate.

Thanks a lot for your answers.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, the  ERROR ID : 760 is very generic and can be caused by many things. In your output file you have many warnings about empty surfaces.  You might want to correct those warnings.  It is possible that an empty surface is being used by an entity which then causes the error.

You could load the import the model into HyperCrash and see what warnings and errors message you get.  Also in HyperCrash there is a model checker you could run.

If none of these items work, you could try removing one entity at a time until you find the one that causes the issue.  For example, if you delete the honeycomb part does the error go away?  Or delete all your contacts, etc...

    Thanks,

    Andy

I have managed to fix the problem, I needed a 3D mesh for the honeycomb component instead of a 2D one .... I'll still try to fix the warning
