Code Compliance

There have been several code additions, and updates in this release. 

  • S-FRAME and S-STEEL have been updated with support for the latest Chinese Steel Design Code (GB 50017-17).

  • S-PAD has been updated to support the latest Canadian (CSA S16-19), American Lattice Steel Transmission Structure (ASCE 10-15), and Chinese (GB 50017-17) design codes.

  • S-LINE has been updated to support the latest American Concrete Design Code (ACI 318-19).


S-TIMBER

S-TIMBER has received several new features, highlighted by the following:

  • Response Spectrum Analysis, and automatic generation of Response Spectra according to NBCC, ASCE, IB, and EN codes.  Users can also specify their own curves.

  • Equivalent Static Force Procedure (ESFP), and Equivalent Lateral Force Procedure for Seismic Analysis (ELFP) according to NBCC and ASCE specifications.
  • Automatic Area Load Decomposition for easy load distribution from panels to area load members, based on members tributary areas.

  • Users can now specify Panel User Coordinate Systems to facilitate assignment of directional geometric, and material properties, and viewing of results.

 

S-VIEW

S-VIEW is now available as a standalone program on Marketplace.  S-VIEW is a model viewer, and validation tool for S-FRAME analysis models/results.  S-VIEW can render model geometry, and results without the need for an S-FRAME license.
