Hello,

Could you send me the correct procedure to follow when renewing a licence file for a customer who has a licence file installed on a local server.
What should I do on the server? And do I also need to do something on the client PC?

    On the server:

    1 - check if the license manager is up-to-date (current version is 15.5). If not download the installer

    2 - save the new license file into the server

    3 - install the license manager

    4 - during the process, the installer will ask for the license file

    If you do not want to install again the license manager, you will need to go to the installation folder of the lic manager, and find where the altair.cfg file points to. Then after discovering the license location, Stop the service, replace the current license file, and then restart the service.

    For the client PC, you just need to keep the client machine pointing to the correct environment variables:

    ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH = port@server_name_or_IP

    or, inside the software, activate using the information of port@server_name_or_IP

    The attached documen guide you through all of this.
